By word of mouth, the reputation of the Oriental House The Golden Curry in Bletchley, Milton Keynes oldest and best Indian Restaurant has undergone a major refurbishment and re-opened in August to amaze and delight customers old and new.
With a reputation for serving the Best Indian Food For Miles Around, our culinary expertise was legendary, sadly so was our décor and furnishing and long overdue for an upgrade! Major refurbishment meant eventually having to close the restaurant for five weeks, but when we re-opened, it was our hope to overwhelm, and we believe we have.
Our new Non-Smoking extension and main restaurant now offer a dining experience to equal the quality of the food we serve. In air-conditioned comfort, amidst bespoke lighting and a superb sound system, you can now enjoy your meal on our all new furniture. Lovely dinner as usual, shame it was an hour late. Rang up to chase it and the man was very polite and said he would sort it but forgot to put me on hold so I know the exact reason it was late. Rang me back 15 mins later with some excuse and gave me one free popadom and got the meal out to me quickly. I accept things go wrong sometimes but hate lies and as we prepaid ( won't do that again) couldn't really argue. One suggestion sack the delivery man as obviously can't do his job and learn to put customers on hold . One free popadom isn't really compensation . But on the up side food was great

Never really like to complain but tonight 30.09.17 was the worst service ive ever had.. it took over 2.5 hours for the food to actually arrive wouldnt have minded but wasnt until the last phone call that the gentleman was straight with me and said sorry back log due to power cut.. wouldnt mind but every other phone call was told out for delivery. The food that turned up tonight was dreadful the chicken passanda was full of grease and didnt look appealing what so ever, the food was also luke warm.. am hoping this is just a 1 off as been ordering from you guys for years

The Golden Curry is overall one of the best Indian restaurants i have eaten at. I recommend the following dishes; Sattay karai massala Murgh brandy satta Lamb chilli mazza (this is stated as "very hot" in the menu description but in my experience it has less heat than a madras and is well worth a try).
